Midsummer Mead 700ml

£24.17

Rich, heady and malty. A taste of Bronze Age Scotland.

Description

Inspired by archæological finds in Scotland (Ashgrove, in Fife (p248) and Kinloch Bay on the Isle of Rum (p194)) from around 4,000BCE, this mead has drawn from each of these to represent a 4,000 year old Scottish mead.  Lime honey, meadwort, and heather combine to create a full-bodied and heady mead.

Lots of meadwort flower on the nose with a light maltiness from the heather in the mouth.  Toffee notes linger without too much sweetness – medium to medium-dry.

Serve chilled. Try with ginger ale or tonic water for a long drink and it goes well with a measure of either whisky or gin added.

No sulphites, sugars or syrups are used…ever!

Store in a cool, dark place.  Shelf-life is in excess of 1 year.
